Qualifications

- Bachelor of Economics (1983)
- Bachelor of Laws (1985)

After completing Articles of Clerkship in 1984, Debra Davis was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victorian on 3 April 1984. During her articles and the first ten years of practice Debra was employed by Remington & Co in which she provided a variety of legal services, particularly in the area of Litigation, Family Law, Minor Criminal Offences, Wills, Probate, Estate matters and buying or selling small business.

After the birth of her first child, Debra began a legal practice from home called Davis and Associates, and operated that practice for five years, doing Wills, Estates, sale and purchases of business and conveyancing.

After the birth of her third child Debra ceased practicing under her own name and kept her hand in by doing locum relief legal work for various local practices in the eastern suburbs, Velos and Davis and for Legal Aid in Footscray.

Debra began working on a part time basis for Davis Lawyers with her husband Peter Davis at the commencement of the firm Davis Lawyers in April 2005.
